Taking the first step toward therapy can feel intimidating, and I believe one of the most important parts of the process is finding someone you genuinely connect with. My goal is to create a space where you can be yourself without fear of judgment. A place where you feel heard, respected, and supported as we work through whatever life has placed in front of you.
I believe that every person has a unique story. While our experiences may shape us, they do not have to define us. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, relationship challenges, or a major life transition, therapy offers an opportunity to better understand yourself, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change. My role isn't to tell you who to become, but to help you recognize your strengths and develop the tools needed to move forward with confidence.
My approach is collaborative, genuine, and tailored to your individual needs. I draw from evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy, and strengths-based interventions to help clients gain insight, overcome obstacles, and make progress toward the goals that matter most to them. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a partnership, and I strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable, challenged, and supported throughout the process.
I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, stress, self-esteem concerns, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. My professional background in addiction treatment has given me a deep appreciation for the courage it takes to seek change and the resilience people possess, even in their most difficult moments. Those experiences continue to shape my work today, emphasizing compassion, authenticity, accountability, and hope.
I earned my bachelor's degree from the University of South Dakota, majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Addiction Counseling and Prevention. I went on to earn my Masters in Social Work, further strengthening my passion for helping individuals navigate life's challenges through evidence-based, compassionate care. My education, combined with my clinical experience, has equipped me to work with individuals facing a wide range of mental health and substance use concerns.
I understand that asking for help can be one of the hardest decisions a person makes, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they pursue healing and personal growth. Whether your goal is overcoming addiction, improving your mental health, strengthening your relationships, or simply finding a greater sense of peace, I am committed to providing a safe and supportive environment where meaningful change is possible.
Seeking support is a sign of courage, not weakness. If you're ready to take that first step, I would be honored to be part of your journey toward healing, self-understanding, and a more fulfilling life.
