Helping people feel seen, heard, and accepted is the most important part of my work.  I am proud to be a member of the Reverence team and believe in their mission of meeting each client where they are at and honoring the pain and suffering that has brought each client into my office.  Reverence’s grace-based approach means being seen, cared for, and accepted despite our pain and brokenness.  I believe that through grace, incredible transformation is possible, as I have experienced that in my own life.

I am a native of South Dakota, having grown up in Vermillion, SD.  I completed my bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2014 and master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2017, both from the University of South Dakota.

I began my career in residential treatment working with adolescents and adults suffering with a combination of addiction and mental health disorders.  I work from an Adlerian perspective with a systems integration. I also often incorporate DBT skills in sessions.  I enjoy working with adults and adolescents and see people with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, self-harm, relationship issues, addiction, and those struggling with life transitions.  I also facilitate DBT skills training group therapy.

I am currently licensed as a licensed professional counselor of mental health (LPC-MH) and licensed addiction counselor (LAC), with a certification as a national certified counselor (NCC) and an endorsement from the South Dakota Department of Human Services as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).
