It takes courage to initiate the healing process. It can feel intimidating and like stepping into unknown territory at times.  It is my goal to make this process less intimidating and more predictable by creating a therapeutic alliance to assist in developing meaningful goals. I believe that connection is key and healthy support is the catalyst to the healing process. I am inspired by the growth of my clients and the work that they do. Therapy can sometimes be messy, uncomfortable, and challenging but therapy can also be cleansing, calming, and liberating. Being able to walk alongside clients during this process is truly the most amazing part of my work.

 

I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker (CSW), a Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC), and a Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP).

 

I primarily grew up around the Brookings, SD area. I received my bachelor’s degree in Addiction Studies at the University of South Dakota, then went on to obtain my master’s degree in social work at the University of South Dakota. I have experience working in various settings such as adolescent inpatient and adult outpatient agencies, both in mental health and addiction.

I work with both adults and adolescents regarding a wide array of concerns or issues such as depression, anxiety, codependency and relationship issues, substance use or addiction, past childhood trauma, and life transitions. I also have experience working with individuals who have physical or intellectual disabilities. I would be honored to be a part of your healing process.
