Addiction that impacts the legal area of our lives relates to what we either have or could have experienced legal negative consequences with. Stealing is a good example of this one. If we steal from a store one time or one thousand times, we are negatively impacting our legal critical life area. We may not get caught every time, or maybe we have never been caught. The risk of legal impact increases with each situation and contributes to the framework of choosing stealing over avoidance of legal trouble or freedom.
